Magnification has been a centerpiece in Dr. Johansen's practice for many years. He is part of a very small group of general dentists in the country who use a surgical operating microscope. Much of what is done in modern dentistry is very precise work requiring significant levels of magnification. These levels of magnification are only attainable with a microscope.

We use dental photography on a daily basis at our office. We do this in order to explain why treatment is necessary and help our patients understand their various treatment options. Being able to see problems and have them explained with a photograph has dramatically increased our patient's understanding of their dental needs.
